About the Role
A leading beverage manufacturer situated in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape is urgently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FMCG Beverage production and a proven track record of successfully managing production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that the production plant is ready to execute the scheduled production plan
- Ensure that the finish product conforms to the quality standards
- Perform quality incidents investigations with the assistance of the Quality Assurance Manager
- Manage the technical maintenance and breakdown repair tasks during normal production, to ensure production schedules and expectations are met and asset integrity maintained
- Ensure effective use of raw materials, packaging, and consumables to reduce waste
- Ensure that labour and material cost are managed effectively
- Conduct regular Stock counts
- Perform plant walk about to identify problems & opportunities for improvements
- Adhere to Health and Safety acts, policies, and procedures
- Maintain and adhere to all housekeeping standards and procedures
- Manage correct use of PPE and safety devices
- Enforce policies and procedures
- Apply Employee Relations policies, procedures, and agreements
- Manage own and production teams performance
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years FMCG Beverage production experience in a technical and supervisor position
- Degree/Diploma in Production Management
- Working knowledge of hot-filled products/production
- Millwright trade certificate would be an advantage
- Basic Computer Skill (MS Office)
- Valid Drivers Licence
