Company established in the household textile industry is looking for a suitable candidate for an IT Administrator role. Based in Jacobs, Durban. Role Definition: Owns Microsoft 365 administration, IT governance, and internal control execution. Focused on control, compliance, and resilience, while supporting operations when required. Key Responsibilities · Microsoft 365 administration (Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams) within approved role boundaries · Access governance: o Role assignments and removals o Periodic access reviews o Enforcement of least-privilege principles · IT General Controls (ITGCs), including: o Creation, maintenance, and review of IT policies and standards o Backup and recovery oversight (monitoring, verification, escalation) o Change management controls and documentation o Audit log retention and evidence readines · Vendor and service-provider coordination, including technical validation of invoices · Risk, control, and exception reporting to the IS Manager · Operational Support o Must assist with IT support activities when required or as directed by the IS Manager, including during high workload periods or staff absence o Expected to support the Senior IT Support and team to ensure continuity of service KPAs Competencies · Policies current and maintained · Backup controls operational and monitored · Audit requests supported with complete evidence · Constructive participation in operational support when required · Quality orientation · Self-management & Accountability · Ability to work under pressure · Attention to detail · Building positive working relationships · Integrity · Effective Communication and Planning · Problem solving and Initiative KPI Target Closing tickets Daily Maintaining the infrastructure Daily Review Health of IT infrastructure Quarterly Paperwork Collated according to company requirements daily Network up time 99.9% Zero unauthorized privileged access changes Policies current and maintained Backup controls operational and monitored Audit requests supported with complete evidence Constructive participation in operational support when required Requirements Education Diploma/Degree in IT, Information Systems or Cybersecurity. Microsoft 365 certification preferred. Skills Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, access governance, IT controls, risk, audit processes, documentation and vendor management. Experience 5 years of IT experience with exposure to Microsoft 365, governance, access control and audit environments. General Expected to be on standby 24/7/365.
