Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Identify and secure new affinity partnerships and insurance facilities.
  • Develop relationships with brokers, associations and strategic partners.
  • Generate new business opportunities and expand existing client relationships.
  • Drive growth within the Affinity division through proactive business development activities.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell existing products across partner and broker networks.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.

Affinity Scheme Management

  • Manage and grow existing affinity and volume-based insurance schemes.
  • Ensure schemes remain commercially viable and competitive.
  • Work closely with insurers and underwriting partners to enhance existing offerings.
  • Monitor scheme performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Product Development

  • Identify market opportunities for new insurance products and solutions.
  • Assist in designing and launching new affinity products and facilities.
  • Work with insurers and internal stakeholders to bring innovative products to market.
  • Continuously assess market trends and competitor offerings.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, insurers and strategic partners.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to key clients and stakeholders.
  • Represent the business at industry events and networking functions.
  • Drive long-term retention and growth of key accounts.

Systems & Operational Improvement

  • Drive utilisation and optimisation of RT Systems and CRM platforms.
  • Improve operational processes and workflow management.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline client servicing processes.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and effective management of business pipelines.

Requirements:

  • Formal insurance qualification, Short-Term Insurance Certificate or equivalent.
  • Full FAIS Accreditation (Commercial Lines) and RE5.
  • 5–10 years’ experience within short-term/commercial insurance broking, underwriting or related insurance environments.
  • Proven experience in corporate and commercial insurance, including liability, commercial risk and specialised insurance solutions.
  • Demonstrable experience managing affinity, volume-based, white-labelled or facility-driven insurance schemes.
  • Strong understanding of insurance product development and facility management.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with a strong understanding of risk, pricing, profitability and claims exposure.
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements, FAIS, FSP compliance and insurance governance frameworks.
  • Proven business development and relationship management experience.
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.
