About the Role

The Clinix Health Group (CHG) is seeking a highly skilled Medical Officer to join our team at Clinix Dr. SK Matseke Memorial Private Hospital. As an advisor on health issues and disease control, you will provide medical support, investigate problems, and deliver patient-centered care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical support and advice on health issues and disease control
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage physical injuries and illnesses
  • Offer holistic care to patients at the facility
  • Oversee patient diagnosis and treatment for rehabilitation, mental and physical ailments and injuries
  • Determine and prescribe the correct course of treatment
  • Research opportunities to harness medical technology in treatment
  • Ensure safety of staff and patients by reporting safety hazards to management
  • Document and track cases assigned to portfolio
  • Provide detailed reporting on patient progress (informed by doctor-patient confidentiality best practice)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive effective service delivery
  • Identify educational opportunities for clinical and allied professionals and contribute to training plans
  • Maintain own CPD points required to maintain accreditation
  • Ensure accurate financial and contract documentation
  • Drive adherence to statutory standards, policies, and procedures within the business unit

Requirements

  • MBCHB registration with HPCSA as a medical practitioner
  • Certificate qualification in BLS, ACLS, APLS, or ATLS (an added advantage)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience post community service
  • Psychiatric and rehabilitation centre exposure (advantageous)
  • Private healthcare experience (advantageous)
