About the Role
The Accounts Payable Clerk role at Placements 4all requires an experienced and detail-oriented individual to process supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations accurately and within tight deadlines. As a key member of our accounting team, you will ensure compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices accurately and timeously in the accounting system
- Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes (3-way matching)
- Ensure invoices are correctly approved and in line with SARS tax invoice requirements
- Prepare and process supplier payments in accordance with agreed payment terms
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier master data
- Manage queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Process foreign supplier invoices and assist with exchange rate differences where applicable
- Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and reporting
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and company policies
- Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation
- File and maintain proper supporting documentation for all transactions
Requirements
Relevant accounting experience is essential. A Matric (Grade 12) with accounting as a subject is the minimum requirement. Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting is advantageous.
Qualifications
Syspro experience is essential.
