Job Description

Are you a seasoned Senior Data Science Consultant who enjoys combining advanced analytics with strategic consulting to drive real business impact? A leading data and analytics organisation is seeking a Senior Data Science Consultant to join its growing, high-performing Data Science team . This role offers the opportunity to lead complex data science initiatives , partner closely with clients, and translate sophisticated analytical insights into clear, actionable business strategies . In this role, youll work at the intersection of data science, consulting, and decision-making , delivering insight-driven solutions that help organisations unlock value from large and alternative datasets. You will collaborate directly with senior stakeholders, influence strategic direction, and play a key role in shaping advanced analytics products and capabilities in a remote or hybrid working environment . This position is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in client-facing roles , enjoys leading analytical projects end-to-end, and is passionate about using data to solve complex commercial challenges. Requirements: · Bachelors degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Postgraduate degree preferred. · Proven experience (3 years) in strategic consulting, management consulting, or a related field, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. · Proven experience (7 years) in a senior level data science role with experience in leading projects and supervising other data scientists. · Experience with credit risk or pricing models in the financial industry would be advantageous. · Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python and SQL. · Working knowledge of data management and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc) and techniques. · Strong proficiency and proven working experience with statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques. · Experience with PySpark and distributed computing using Apache Spark within Azure Synapse. · Experience designing and developing Synapse Pipelines that integrate: SQL stored procedures, Spark jobs, API integrations, Orchestration and automation flows is highly advantageous · Experience with Delta Lake / Delta Tables, Databricks, or other modern data lakehouse technologies is a strong advantage.
