About the Role
Network Finance is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and support smart underground mining systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in deploying advanced technologies such as IoT, automation, real-time monitoring, and communication systems in underground environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement integrated smart mining systems (automation, telemetry, IoT)
- Develop and maintain system architectures for underground operations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, software)
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and optimization of systems underground
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with mining safety standards and regulations
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting in operational environments
- Document system designs, processes, and maintenance procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or similar)
- 3–7 years’ experience in systems engineering, preferably in mining or industrial environments
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, Ethernet/IP)
- Knowledge of IoT platforms, automation systems, and SCADA
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Willingness to work in underground mining environments
