About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and capable Camp Manager for a luxury safari camp located in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional who is passionate about guest experience and smooth camp operations within a remote bush environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily camp operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences and anticipate guest needs
- Manage and supervise camp staff, ensuring high standards of service
- Maintain operational standards in line with a luxury safari environment
- Coordinate all departments including front of house, housekeeping, and food service
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and basic administrative duties
- Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards are upheld at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in a camp manager or similar role within a safari or lodge environment
- Strong guest relations and hospitality skills
- Hands-on management style with a practical approach
- Ability to lead and motivate a small team
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working in a remote bush setting
