About the Role

The Junior Financial Manager will assist in managing the accounting function up to trial balance, support foreign currency and inter-company accounting, and contribute to accurate international and statutory reporting. This role offers excellent exposure to multinational finance while building leadership and review capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Financial Manager with oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions
  • Assist with foreign exchange transactions, monthly revaluations, and currency updates
  • Support the management and reconciliation of international inter-company accounts
  • Assist with SARB compliance and documentation for cross-border payments
  • Prepare and review inputs for international financial reporting (e.g. HFM or similar systems)
  • Maintain general ledger reconciliations, journals, accruals, and monthly provisions
  • Analyse monthly expenses and support MTD / YTD variance analysis
  • Assist with maintaining the fixed asset register and GL reconciliations
  • Support banking administration, electronic payments, forex petty cash, and credit card reconciliations
  • Process payroll journals and third-party statutory payments
  • Prepare VAT and EMP201 submissions and assist with tax schedules and queries
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, and internal controls
  • Act as a strong deputy to the Financial Manager and support team workflow where required

Requirements

  • BCom Accounting (essential)
  • CA(SA), SAIPA, or CIMA qualification or progress toward one (advantageous)
