Business Analyst (Contract – Potential to convert to perm based on performance)
On-site, based in Sandton
About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst with experience in data analysis and systems testing to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, ensuring the integrity of data systems, and supporting software testing processes to enhance business performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional requirements.

Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and system functionalities.

Work closely with development and testing teams to define test cases, scenarios, and acceptance criteria.

Conduct data analysis and validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test scripts, executing test cases, and documenting results.

Identify gaps and inefficiencies in business and system processes and propose improvements.

Assist in the implementation of new systems or enhancements, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.

Develop reports, dashboards, and insights to support data-driven decision-making.

Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and quality standards.
Requirements:
-
Bachelors degree in Business Analysis, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in data-driven and system testing environments.

Strong knowledge of business process modeling, requirement gathering, and documentation techniques.

Experience with SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, etc.).

Familiarity with testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaborate within cross-functional teams
