About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with expertise in banking and payments to join our dynamic team in Sandton, Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial services, payment processing, and regulatory compliance, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business and technical requirements for banking and payment solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and compliance teams to design and implement payment solutions.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify areas for process improvement and system enhancements.
- Define and document business processes, workflows, and use cases related to banking and payments.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and security requirements in payment processing.
- Develop test plans and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate solutions.
- Provide ongoing support and analysis for implemented banking and payment systems.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging payment technologies, and regulatory changes to recommend best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field – Advantageous
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or payments industry.
- Strong understanding of payment processing
- Experience with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the banking sector.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and SQL.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in an agile environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
