Job Description

Purpose of the Role: The Compliance Administrator will be responsible for ensuring that the company complies with legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with a paralegal qualification who can provide administrative support, monitor compliance processes, and assist with regulatory reporting. Key Responsibilities: Compliance Monitoring & Reporting Assist in implementing and maintaining compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures. Monitor company activities to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate compliance records and prepare reports for management and regulators. Legal & Regulatory Support Conduct basic legal research and provide summaries for compliance and regulatory matters. Assist with reviewing contracts and legal documents to identify compliance risks. Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry guidelines affecting the business. Administrative Support Maintain compliance registers, filing systems, and documentation in an organized manner. Assist in the preparation of compliance training materials and workshops for employees. Track deadlines for regulatory submissions, audits, and renewals. Audit & Risk Management: Support internal and external audit processes by providing requested compliance documentation. Assist in identifying compliance risks and suggesting measures to mitigate them. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal departments to ensure compliance requirements are met. Communicate with regulators, attorneys, and other stakeholders when required. Key Performance Areas (KPAs): Accuracy and timeliness of compliance reports. Proper maintenance of compliance records and registers. Effective support during audits and inspections. Timely completion of legal research and document reviews. Contribution to compliance awareness and training initiatives. Qualifications & Experience: South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34. Must not have participated on the YES programme before. Paralegal qualification (Diploma/Degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent). Basic understanding of compliance frameworks and legal processes. Familiarity with regulatory bodies and reporting requirements. Skills & Competencies: Strong organizational and administrative skills. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Good communication skills (verbal & written). Research and document review skills. Ability to work with confidential information. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
