Key Responsibilities Produce accurate 2D and 3D models, fabrication drawings, assemblies, and GA drawings using SolidWorks. Develop and refine equipment designs to optimise performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency. Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure design documentation aligns with project requirements and engineering standards. Support new product development and variations based on engineering input or client specifications. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, procurement, and production stakeholders to enable smooth execution of projects. Provide technical support during fabrication and assembly to resolve any design‑related challenges. Maintain drawing accuracy, adhere to drawing control procedures, and prepare “as‑built” documentation. Participate in R&D and continuous improvement initiatives, including prototype design and testing support. Ensure design deliverables comply with ISO 9001:2015 and SolidWorks PDM requirements. Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile Education National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Draughting (or equivalent Experience 58 years experience in mechanical design and draughting, ideally within water treatment or process‑equipment environments. Extensive experience in SolidWorks 3D modelling, detailing, and drafting. Skills & Attributes Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and fabrication processes. Experience in product improvement, design development, and R&D collaboration. Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects.
