About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Bar Manager/Mixologist to join our premium restaurant team in Johannesburg’s Northern Suburbs. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for leading our bar operations, managing multiple orders efficiently, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar, including drink preparation, cash handling, and POS system management.
- Lead a team of bartenders to ensure excellent customer service, efficient order fulfillment, and high-quality drinks.
- Develop and implement new cocktails and drinks menus to enhance our premium offerings.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Monitor sales trends, inventory levels, and staff performance to optimize operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Barista training/certification (preferred)
- Previous experience in a coffee shop environment
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing and espresso preparation
- Excellent customer service and friendly demeanor
- Ability to operate coffee machines and manage multiple orders efficiently
- Basic cash handling skills and familiarity with POS systems
Qualifications
- Bartending certification (advantageous)
Salary & Benefits
R15 000 – R18 000 per annum (dependent on experience)
