About the Role
Meridian Wine Distribution is seeking an experienced Team Leader | Shift Supervisor based in Gauteng to lead and supervise a team of Material Handlers, ensuring effective task delegation and continuous monitoring of the picking process to meet operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of warehouse staff and warehouse workload – ensuring that work is being performed according to picking plan and SOP.
- Effectively delegate work to team with clearing defined deadlines in order to manage workflow within the warehouse.
- Monitor and allocate outstanding orders including: Collections Courier orders Local outstanding deliveries. Makro orders.
- Assist Material handlers as needed in finding stock and setting a good example.
- Monitor picking for team as per picking plan.
- Ensure effective communication of established procedures and regulations within the warehouse according to SOP and Health and Safety act.
- Communicate with Orders team on unavailable vintages and vintage changes, action changes as required.
- Ensure checking takes places for all orders. Correct any discrepancies on orders after checking has taken place.
- Print out warehouse shipment once order is complete for checking purposes.
- Notify Warehouse Supervisor when load is ready for invoices and delivery notes to be printed.
- Assist Warehouse Supervisor in ensuring that warehouse staff adhere to housekeeping regulations within the warehouse during picking to avoid breakages and damages.
- Monitoring the cleanliness of the warehouse and isles always kept clear.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- 5 years Warehouse Experience within the FMCG environment
