The Role: HR Business Partner The HR Business Partner bridges the gap between business strategy and people management. The purpose of this role is to build collaborative partnerships across the HR function to deliver high-value, strategic support to both management and employees. Main focus areas include strategic advisory and consultation, employee relations and compliance, performance, talent and growth management, and HR operations and administration. Key Responsibilities Execute day-to-day duties utilizing 3 to 5 years of proven experience operating as an HR Generalist. Conduct regular weekly alignment meetings with assigned regional teams and provide ongoing professional consultation and trusted HR guidance to line management. Analyze workforce trends and key operational metrics to design impactful HR solutions, programs, and policies, offering strategic input on organizational design, restructures, workforce planning, and succession management. Manage, mitigate, and resolve intricate employee relations matters, executing comprehensive investigations, maintaining an understanding of legal and statutory requirements, and representing the organization at external dispute forums such as the CCMA and MEIBC. Draft clear, compliant employment contract terms for new hires, promotions, and internal talent transfers. Deliver day-to-day performance management mentorship, including coaching, career pathing, counseling, and disciplinary guidance, while partnering with managers to enrich workplace relationships, boost morale, and drive talent retention. Execute organizational skills audits, co-create targeted training plans with leadership, oversee training programs, and compile and submit annual statutory mandates including the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) to the relevant SETA. Own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, coordinate documentation for BBBEE verification audits, draft and submit mandatory annual Employment Equity (EE) plans, generate detailed monthly reports evaluating critical HR metrics, and support international personnel with expatriate assignments. About You Possess 3 to 5 years of proven experience operating as an HR Generalist, ideally within a similar or closely aligned industry. Hold a formal Degree in Human Resources Management or a highly related discipline. Demonstrate legal acumen with prior experience representing organizations at the CCMA, paired with a comprehensive, fluent understanding of labor legislation requirements. Display advanced computer literacy with deep proficiency in the MS Office Suite. Maintain outstanding interpersonal abilities with the capacity to communicate, influence, and lead effectively across every tier of the company, alongside a meticulous eye for detail and an understanding of structured remuneration principles. Exhibit a strong sense of integrity, dependability, results-orientation, a healthy sense of urgency, and the ability to perform exceptionally well under pressure without compromising on operational standards or quality.
