About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at our Head office in Johannesburg, West Rand. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and general upkeep of our building, ensuring that all building services run efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs and scheduled, emergency, and ad-hoc work according to set standards.
- Attend to leaks and blocked drains, hang pictures, perform general plumbing duties, and ensure floors are in good condition.
- Ensure ablution facilities are in working conditions on a daily basis.
- Undertake carpentry duties such as repair and replacement of door locks.
- Check and test emergency lighting and power supply in case of power failures regularly.
- Replace all light and ballasts that are not in a working order to ensure proper lighting in the building.
- Conduct inspections of interior and exterior of building and parking areas on a daily basis.
- Ensure adherence to Occupation Health and Safety standards in daily operations.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans.
- Maintain all relevant maintenance inventory and equipment, ensuring proper storage.
- Perform monthly checks on generators.
Requirements
- Grade 12 Technical Matric or equivalent.
- Technical qualification advantageous (e.g., National Diploma in Building Maintenance).
- Minimum 2-3 years working experience in basic tasks of repairs and building maintenance.
- Practical exposure to similar roles is an advantage.
- Possession of a valid Code 8 driver’s license.
