About the Role
Join a well-established renewable energy entity that forms part of a globally recognised energy group as their Finance Manager. The successful candidate will step into a senior, technically demanding finance role, responsible for end-to-end financial reporting, IFRS compliance, tax and statutory submissions, and stakeholder reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in line with IFRS and statutory requirements
- Prepare management accounts, variance analyses, budgets, forecasts, and medium-term plans
- Oversee IFRS and IFRIC 12 models, ensuring integrity and alignment with business drivers
- Manage audits, annual financial statements, and liaison with auditors and regulators
- Ensure tax, VAT, PAYE, and statutory compliance, including SARS submissions
- Maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and bank reconciliations
- Support stakeholder reporting, including shareholders, lenders, and group finance
Requirements
- CA(SA) is essential
- Articles completed at a Big 4 audit firm
- Minimum 5 years post-articles experience
- Strong technical IFRS experience, with IFRIC 12 being advantageous
- Experience within infrastructure, energy, or structured finance environments beneficial
