About the Role

Network Finance is seeking a highly analytical and commercially sharp CA(SA) to join their team as a Senior Investment Portfolio Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in investment environments, private equity, family office structures, or diversified portfolios, and be able to work closely with principal shareholders and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial and operational performance of a diversified investment portfolio.
  • Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual Board reporting packs.
  • Conduct financial modelling, DCF valuations, ROI analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Monitor portfolio performance against strategic investment objectives.
  • Lead financial due diligence processes for acquisitions and new investment opportunities.
  • Prepare investment memoranda and strategic recommendations for shareholders and directors.
  • Analyse operational and sector-specific financial performance metrics.
  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure IFRS compliance, governance standards, and statutory reporting accuracy.
  • Oversee treasury management, tax compliance, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Identify financial and operational risks across the portfolio.
  • Conduct travel to investment assets, development sites, and operational businesses when required.

Requirements

  • CA(SA) qualification and active SAICA registration (non-negotiable).
  • Minimum 8–10 years’ post-articles experience.
  • Exposure to investment environments, private equity, family office structures, or diversified portfolios.
  • Strong financial reporting, consolidations, and Board reporting experience.
  • Advanced financial modelling and investment analysis capability.
  • Exposure to property, hospitality, development, automotive, or diversified investment sectors is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, South African tax legislation, and governance frameworks.
  • Advanced Excel capability (the kind where people ask you for help and you secretly enjoy it).
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage multiple high-level workstreams simultaneously.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
