About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Representative to join our team in Johannesburg, responsible for driving sales growth and building strong relationships with customers. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and a deep understanding of the FMCG industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve Year-To-Date (YTD) sales budget targets while managing orders to ensure timely delivery and maintaining appropriate product service levels in stores.
- Ensure the correct product range is listed and displayed according to customer segments, influencing listings through an understanding of store-specific needs and consumer demand.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities while building and maintaining strong customer relationships to support long-term growth.
- Maintain professional and consistent communication with store personnel, including conducting in-store promotions and product training where required.
- Complete all call cycles, reports, CRM updates, and related administration accurately and timeously, including the submission of weekly sales reports, customer feedback, and expense claims.
- Operate within allocated budgets for travel, promotions, samples, and related expenses, ensuring cost-effective management of all sales activities.
Requirements
- 3 years sales experience, preferably within the pet industry, FMCG, or Wholesale Sales
- Tertiary qualification advantageous
Qualifications
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel extensively
Salary & Benefits
- R20 000 – R25 000 (inclusive of all company and employee contributions)
