About the Role
The Spare Parts Sales Representative plays a crucial role in actively engaging with customers, handling inquiries, and ensuring prompt and accurate order processing to enhance overall customer satisfaction. This position collaborates with the sales team to provide insights on product availability and pricing, actively participating in sales strategies and promotions to improve conversion rates.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and provide product information.
- Assist in the sales process, handle inquiries, process orders, and generate invoices promptly and accurately.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships to enhance overall satisfaction.
- Communicate with the machine sales team to provide insights on product availability, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Assist in the implementation of sales strategies and promotions to drive success.
- Participate in marketing initiatives and events aimed at increasing sales.
- Prepare and send customer quotes promptly and accurately.
- Follow up on all outstanding quotes to maximize sales conversion.
- Manage end-to-end client order processing, from quotation to invoicing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
- Mature, with sober habits
- Experience in parts department / procurement operations
- Supervisory experience (advantageous)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently and complete tasks within deadlines
- Deadline- and results-driven mindset
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Advanced computer skills, including report writing
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Qualifications
Matric (Grade 12)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel
SAP Knowledge (advantageous but not required)
