Johannesburg: SHEQ-R / Quality Manager posted by Hire Resolve

A leading packaging company that delivers tailor-made packaging solutions is seeking a SHEQ-R / Quality Manager to join their team. 

• Develop, implement, and maintain the companys SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) management systems.

• Ensure compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.) and other relevant regulatory requirements.

• Lead and manage internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.

• Monitor, measure, and report on SHEQ performance indicators.

• Conduct risk assessments and ensure corrective and preventative actions are in place.

• Promote a strong safety and quality culture across all levels of the organization.

• Provide SHEQ training and awareness programs to staff.

• Investigate incidents, accidents, and non-conformances, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Maintain up-to-date SHEQ documentation, procedures, and policies.

• Liaise with external stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory bodies as required

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Quality Management, Safety, Environmental, or Engineering (National Diploma or Degree preferred).

• Strong knowledge of ISO standards and compliance requirements.

• Minimum 5 years experience in SHEQ or Quality Management, preferably in manufacturing, corrugated, or packaging industries.

• Proven experience in managing audits and certification processes.

• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and risk management.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

• Ability to train, mentor, and influence staff across departments.

• Computer literacy (MS Office, QMS software).

• South African citizen with a stable employment track record.
