Job Description

About the Role

Network Finance is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join their team in Johannesburg South. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing full accounting functions, including financial reporting and management accounts, as well as supervising junior accounting staff and liaising with auditors, banks, and international suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Full accounting function up to trial balance / management accounts
Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
International reporting and reconciliations
Management of foreign creditors and supplier reconciliations
Forex transactions, exchange differences, and currency exposure review
VAT submissions and statutory compliance
Cash flow management and forecasting
Supervision, mentoring, and review of junior accounting staff
Liaison with auditors, banks, and international suppliers

Requirements

BCom Accounting or similar qualification
Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in a senior accounting role
Experience within an imports, distribution, or international trading environment advantageous
Strong exposure to forex and foreign creditors
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
