Temp Receptionist

Industry: Technology

Location: Kya Sands

Salary: R8 000 p.m

Our client in the technology industry is looking for a Receptionist to act both as an operator and receptionist at a single-position telephone switchboard or console. Duties may include operating a telephone switchboard, greeting visitors, and determining the nature of the visitor’s business.

Key responsibilities

  • Receives, welcomes, books and refers visitors to the relevant individual or department.
  • Accepts delivery of small parcels and advises addressee
  • Maintains reception area in a tidy condition.
  • Connects callers who may be uncertain of their require contact to the most appropriate department/contact
  • Takes and passes on messages. Determines when an issue is urgent and expedites a response
  • May administer routine parking and taxi arrangements, and issues and collects security badges for visitors.
  • As a key point of entry to the organization, acts with tact, discretion, and courtesy at all times.
  • May perform basic clerical tasks and/or undertake simple copy typing as time permits.
  • Orders and distributes stationary to staff
  • Face of the company
  • Sort in order paper work and distribute to the correct people
  • Fax, type, scan and do filling
  • Post letters and documents within South Africa
  • Courier documents and sample products out of South Africa

Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric
  • 1years working experience in secretarial or reception work
  • Computer Literate (Word, excel, outlook etc.)
