About the Role
The Sales Representative role at our company is a results-driven position that requires a commercially astute sales professional who thrives in a target-driven environment. The successful incumbent will be responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive prospecting, consultative selling and strategic account development.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research new business opportunities through market analysis, networking and lead generation tools.
- Develop and execute structured prospecting strategies to build a sustainable sales pipeline.
- Attend client meetings, trade shows and networking events to expand market presence.
- Develop tailored engagement plans for prospective clients.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations and commercial discussions.
- Negotiate pricing, terms and contractual agreements.
- Close new business and achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships post-sale.
- Drive upselling and cross-selling initiatives across the product range.
- Expand existing accounts and identify new revenue streams within the customer base.
- Encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Clearly articulate product value propositions including quality, durability, customisation options and service excellence.
- Position offerings against competitors through differentiated messaging and solution-based selling.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) – essential
- Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field (advantageous)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ proven experience in B2B sales
- Experience within FMCG, consumer goods or manufacturing environments (advantageous)
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools
