Job Description
A well-established contract mining and mining services organisation operating across multiple sites in South Africa is seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to support its operations. This is a senior operational HR role requiring a highly hands-on individual with extensive experience in labour relations, employee relations, union engagement, and HR management within the mining or heavy industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the primary HR Business Partner to Site Managers and operational leadership teams.
- Providing professional HR and labour relations support across multiple mining operations.
- Managing employee relations, disciplinary hearings, grievances, incapacity processes, and dispute resolution.
- Representing the organisation in CCMA and Bargaining Council matters.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with recognised trade unions and employee representatives.
- Participating in collective bargaining and wage negotiation processes.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management, Labour Relations, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in Human Resources or Labour Relations.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the mining, contract mining, construction, or heavy industrial sector.
- Proven experience working within highly unionised environments.
- Extensive knowledge of South African labour legislation and employment practices.
Qualifications
- BCom: Human Resources
- BCom (Honours) in any major
- Post Graduate Degrees
