About the Role
Takora Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Intermediate Cost Estimator to join our team in Midrand. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for industrial electrical projects, analyzing technical requirements and drawings, and ensuring compliance with general tender/contractual processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates for industrial electrical projects
- Analyze requests for proposal (RFPs) and requests for quotation (RFQs)
- Read and analyze technical requirements and drawings
- Apply knowledge of financial concepts to estimate costs
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to manipulate calculations
- Ensure compliance with general tender/contractual processes
Requirements
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience on industrial electrical projects
- Experience in the electrical engineering & Construction Industry
- Experience in reading and analysing RFPs and RFQs
- Knowledge of technical requirements and drawings
- Knowledge of general tender/contractual processes, requirements, and terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of financial concepts
Qualifications
National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
