- Matric.
- Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience.
- CompTIA A+ Certification.
- CompTIA Network+.
- Google IT Support Professional Certificate.
- MTCNA (Mikrotik Certified Network Associate).
- 3CX Basic Certification.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking basics (IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Remote user support troubleshooting.
- Basic cybersecurity knowledge.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organised, solution- oriented mindset.
- Ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced enviroment.
- Eagerness to learn and upskill.
- Attention to detail.
- Exposure to server administration and cloud systems.
- Basic scripting (PowerShell or Bash-optional).
- Ticketing system or ITSM platform experience (eg. Zoho Desk, Freshservice).
Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
User & Systems Administration:
- Manage user account lifecycle across:
- Google Workspace
- Microsoft 365
- Company-specific platforms (CRM, internal tools)
- Set up and deactivate user accounts as part of onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Ensure proper access permissions and data security policies are enforced.
- Maintain up-to-date records of users, groups, permissions, and platform roles.
- Implement system access protocols and suggest improvements for better control and compliance.
IT Support & Device Management:
- Set up laptops, workstations, and peripheral devices for new and existing staff.
- Install and configure operating systems and company-approved software.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Schedule and execute routine software updates and preventative maintenance.
- Perform minor hardware repairs and coordinate equipment orders (with sign-off).
- Provide technical support to staff both in-office and remotely.
- Respond to IT support requests using the company’s ticketing system.
- Document support issues and resolutions for future reference and training.
Platform & License Oversight:
- Manage Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace licenses.
- Support PBX (3CX) extension configuration and basic troubleshooting.
- Monitor license usage and anticipate renewals or expansions (pending sign-off).
- Coordinate with external vendors for software, licenses, or hardware procurement — all budgeted items subject to Senior Software Developer approval.
Asset & Inventory Control:
- Maintain a central register of all company IT assets.
- Monitor stock levels of equipment and accessories.
- Ensure hardware is tracked, labelled, and assigned correctly to employees.
Network & Security Awareness:
- Assist with troubleshooting basic network-related issues (IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Ensure all devices comply with internal security protocols and updates.
- Help implement and enforce basic cybersecurity best practices across endpoints.
Documentation & Process:
- Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and training guides.
- Identify opportunities to improve technical workflows and recommend enhancements to IT policies or tools.
- Create and update checklists for onboarding/offboarding and routine IT processes.
