About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our team in Midrand, Gauteng. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for driving business analysis and requirements gathering across various business units. Your expertise will help us identify automation and optimization opportunities, design feasible solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage business units (Procurement, Sales, Finance, Operations) to understand and document business processes and pain points.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.
- Develop use cases, user stories, process maps, and data flow diagrams.
- Analyse and model current vs. future state processes to identify automation and optimization opportunities.
- Evaluate and document integration needs across ERP, BI, WMS, and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with developers and systems architects to design feasible, scalable solutions.
- Validate system designs against business requirements.
- Project Management: Support or lead IT project planning and execution, including scoping, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Manage small-to-medium sized IT initiatives end-to-end, tracking progress, managing risks/issues, and reporting on milestones.
- Work with external vendors and internal teams to coordinate deliverables.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Define test scenarios, coordinate UAT, and validate outputs against expected outcomes.
- Work with QA resources to ensure issues are logged, tracked, and resolved.
- Change Management and Support: Support training and onboarding of users to new systems and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Project management certification (Agile, PMP, PRINCE2) is a strong plus.
- 35 years in business analysis or systems analysis within IT environments.
- Experience in managing or coordinating technical projects.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, databases, APIs, and BI/reporting tools.
