Summary: We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Field Guide/ Ranger. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading educational tours, ensuring the safety and well-being of guests, and monitoring wildlife in their natural habitats. Responsibilities: 1. Conduct educational tours for groups of visitors, providing information on local wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation efforts. 2. Monitor wildlife behavior and report any unusual activities or health concerns to the appropriate authorities. 3. Ensure the safety of guests during tours, including enforcing park rules, providing first aid if necessary, and managing any emergency situations. 4. Assist in wildlife research projects, including collecting data, tracking animals, and participating in conservation initiatives. 5. Maintain and inspect equipment, including vehicles, communication devices, and first aid kits. 6. Educate guests on the importance of conservation and sustainable practices in order to protect the environment for future generations. 7. Collaborate with other team members, including park rangers, researchers, and conservationists, to enhance wildlife protection efforts. Qualifications: 1. Proven experience as a nature guide, park ranger, or similar role. 2. Knowledge of local flora and fauna, wildlife behavior, and conservation practices. 3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse audiences. 4. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. 5. Physical fitness and the ability to work in outdoor environments for extended periods of time. 6. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. 7. First aid and CPR certification preferred. 8. Bachelor’s degree in ecology, wildlife biology, environmental science, or a related field is a plus.
