Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Operations Fleet Controller to oversee and manage our fleet operations (tipper trucks and links). The successful candidate will ensure the efficient and effective utilization of our fleet, maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service (Semi-permanent (starts with a 1 month fixed term contract which is then relooked after) Monitor and manage the daily operations of the fleet, ensuring timely and efficient dispatch and delivery. Coordinate with drivers and other team members to optimize routes and schedules. Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance, and fuel consumption. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Conduct regular inspections and audits of vehicles to ensure safety and reliability. Handle any issues or emergencies that arise, providing support and solutions as needed. Analyze fleet performance data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction Hours: Shifts : 06:00 to 18:00 and 18:00 to 06:00 Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics, transportation, or related fields are a plus. Proven experience as a Fleet Controller or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of fleet management software and tools. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Must be fluent in Afrikaans (read, write and speak) Preferred Skills: Experience with GPS tracking and fleet management systems (Cartrack) Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures. Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insight No visible tattoos Sober drinking habits
