Job Description

Location: Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) Office-based Employment Type : Permanent Start Date: This is an active search. Applications close: on 3 April 2026. Role Purpose National, corporate Short Term and Commercial Brokerage is hiring for a qualified and experienced Domestic Underwriter to support the brokerages growth by managing and underwriting domestic insurance policies efficiently and accurately, ensuring excellent service delivery to clients and insurers while contributing positively to team performance and operational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Underwriting & Policy Administration Client & Broker Support Compliance & Risk Management Operational Contribution Minimum Requirements Proven track record as a Domestic Underwriter within a brokerage environment Strong underwriting and policy administration experience (personal lines/domestic) Completed RE5 qualification (non-negotiable) Solid PC literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work effectively in a structured, desk-based office role Clear criminal history SA Citizen Preferred Experience Experience working with multiple insurers Exposure to brokerage management systems Demonstrated ability to meet service level targets and quality standards Working Conditions & Benefits Working hours: Monday to Friday | 08:00 16:30 Fully office-based role Office laptop provided Provident fund Optional medical aid Performance-based 13th cheque (potential to exceed 100% based on performance) Internal onboarding and insurer product training To APPLY , click on the green button >>> to upload a comprehensive CV.
