Our client in the Higher Education and Training Sector is currently looking to employ an experienced Head of Computer Science and Technology to join their team based in Gqeberha.

Requirements

Masters Degree (NQF Level 9) in Information Technology or Computer Science (essential)

Specialisation in Programming advantageous
-
35 years teaching and learning experience (preferably in a higher education environment)
-
Minimum 2 years management experience
-
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks within higher education and private colleges
-
Advanced teaching and learning expertise, supported by a teaching portfolio
Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
-
Deliver high-quality lectures in Information Technology and Programming disciplines.
-
Develop and maintain teaching materials and academic resources.
-
Assess and evaluate student performance in line with academic standards.

Maintain and present a comprehensive teaching portfolio.
Academic Management
-
Support academic planning, programme delivery, and curriculum development.

Participate in the planning and implementation of change management initiatives.
-
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Monitor academic performance and implement improvement strategies.
Data Analysis and Reporting
-
Analyse academic and operational data to inform decision-making.

Prepare reports on student performance, programme effectiveness, and quality assurance.
Quality and Compliance
-
Ensure adherence to quality standards and institutional policies.

Maintain accurate academic records and documentation.

Support audits and accreditation processes where required.
Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 08:00 17:00
