About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Artisan (Automotive) to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of mechanical equipment and maintaining high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble, install, test and maintain any mechanical equipment
Ensure minimum downtime in the event of breakdown
Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning systems and equipment
Perform all maintenance activities to set quality standards without rework
Maintain high quality standard of work at all times and under pressure
Undertake all maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner
Ensure machines are maintained to OEM standards

Requirements

N6 Trade Tested advantageous
Minimum 10 years experience in Automotive Industry
Thorough understanding of safety regulations
Sound knowledge of mechanical equipment
Ability to deliver and maintain high quality work and standards
Willingness to work shifts and overtime when needed
Experience in Installation & Commissioning for installations
Familiarity with mechanical systems such as welding, part fabrication
Basic Rigging, Working at Heights, Welding, etc.
Valid Drivers License
