Port Elizabeth: Mechanical Artisan (Automotive)

Duties: Assemble, install, test and maintain any mechanical equipment Ensuring minimum downtime in the event of breakdown Troubleshooting Ensure all maintenance activities are performed to set quality standards without rework Fault finding Diagnose malfunctioning systems and equipment to locate cause of breakdown Mechanical preventative maintenance Maintain high quality standard of work at all times and under pressure Undertake all maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner Ensure machines are maintained to OEM standards Skills and Requirements: N6 Trade Tested advantageous Minimum 10 years experience in Automotive Industry. Thorough understanding of safety regulations Sound knowledge of mechanical equipment Be able to deliver and maintain high quality work and standards Willing to work shifts and overtime when needed Experience in Installation & Commissioning for installations Familiar with mechanical systems such as welding, part fabrication Be able and willing to travel and work away from home from time to time Basic Rigging, Working at Heights, Welding, etc. Be able to read and understand drawings Drivers License essential
