Job Summary

Minimum Requirements: Minimum Matric with Mathematics and Science. N4 Electro-Mechanical Certificate. Section 13 Red Seal Millwright Trade Tested. Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy industry. Siemens PLC. Key Performance Areas: Maintenance Process (Scheduled Preventative Maintenance): Receive maintenance schedules, interpret instructions and plan maintenance and repair work. Inspect the tooling and determine spares and consumables requirements. Generate job requisitions for scheduled maintenance work (type of repair or maintenance, spares, quantities, time, etc.). Transport tools, equipment and spares to the work site. Isolate equipment, perform lockouts, complete register and make the work area safe. Conduct preventive maintenance activities. Perform change-overs in the production environment. All scheduled maintenance shall be recorded to the Maintenance. Connect system in-time to aid in pro-longing equipment life and prevent unplanned maintenance. Perform Plant start-ups. Maintenance Process (Breakdown): Attend to machine breakdowns of a mechanical/electrical nature for all equipment under engineering functional control. Update the responsible person on progress of repairs. Capture all information related to the breakdown to aid in determining the root cause. Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance. Align machines and equipment. Diagnose and repair faults on equipment and machinery during production/operation. Commission and refurbish machines/equipment. Operate and monitor: Drilling machine to produce simple components; Lathe to produce simple components; Milling machine to produce simple components; and Surface grinding machine to produce simple components. Operate the Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM) to seal moulds. Perform basic and MIG/TIG welding of metals. Grind tools and drill bits. Maintain mechanical equipment (indirect and direct drives, pipe systems, static seals, bearings, brakes and clutches, direct drives, dynamic seals, heat exchangers and pressure vessels, lubricating systems, pumps, conveyor systems, compressors, fluid power/pneumatic/vacuum systems, gearboxes, safety valves). Electrical Maintenance: Design and construct single/three phase circuits. Design and install electrical wire ways. Construct, commission and do fault tracing on low voltage reticulation networks (220Vac, 110Vac, 24DC). Install or replace and commission electrical equipment (lighting systems; electrical cables and conductors; earth leakage unit in a low voltage circuit; metering units or measuring instruments; low and medium voltage transformers; batteries; electrical wire ways; direct current (DC) machines three phase AC electrical circuits, machines and control gear). Wire and commission three phase electrical circuits. Inspect and clean (electrical machines; enhanced safety apparatus; electrical motors). Test and inspect a three-phase industrial/commercial installation. Inspect and maintain electrical equipment (electrical distribution boards, panels and enclosures; intrinsically safe apparatus; lighting systems; high mast lighting structures; batteries and battery rooms (UPS, Generator); low voltage switchgear; unit protection devices on transformers; AC or DC drive units; (DC) machines; electric power tools; three phase AC machines and control gear; AC motor control gear). Replace electrical equipment (electrical cables; faulty components in a distribution board; three-phase electrical motor between 5,5 kW and 75 kW). Fault find and repair (domestic appliances; single phase alternating current (AC) systems; three phase voltage electrical circuits). Disconnect and connect electric motors. Handle and care for electrical earthing gear and related equipment. Joint low voltage cables. Troubleshoot on Programmable Logic Controllers. Maintenance Process (Post Maintenance): Test and commission machinery or equipment prior to handover. Complete the planned maintenance schedule-maintenance connection. etc.) Identify any other work required (including additional spares) and communicate to the Planner/Buyer. Fabrication: Mechanically cut, drill, punch and assemble fabrication materials using powered machinery. Cut materials using the oxy-fuel gas cutting process (manual cutting). Join metals using the resistance welding process. Instrumentation Maintenance: Construct basic electronic circuits. Install instrument impulse lines. Project Initiation: Contribute to project initiation, scope definition and scope change control and work as a valuable team member. Participate in the estimation and preparation of cost budget for a project or sub project and monitor and control actual cost against budget. SHE: Conduct continuous risk assessments. Conduct planned task observations. Identify potential hazards and critical safety issues. Address workplace hazards and risks. Apply safety, health and environment practices and legal requirements when working on machines and equipment.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities Engineering and Maintenance Control Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and execute repair plans swiftly to minimize downtime. Ensure optimal equipment performance by applying sound technical and engineering practices. Conduct inspections during process changes to determine equipment status. Perform routine checks to identify wear and potential failures, and carry out corrective maintenance. Collaborate closely with Production to proactively identify and resolve equipment or process-related issues. Ensure product quality standards are maintained through periodic checks. Coordinate availability of parts to support preventative maintenance activities. Maintain detailed records and reports of all maintenance work performed. Compliance Operate within established procedures to ensure integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements. Report risks or areas of concern within scope of responsibility. Promote and uphold adherence to company and legal standards to avoid unnecessary costs or non-compliance. Cost Control Support efficient use of resources to control costs. Monitor and report deviations from budget to management. Implement practices to minimize waste and manage expenditures effectively. Customer Service Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external customers. Resolve problems with a high level of integrity, aligning with the companys core values. Strive to reduce rework and improve service quality. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate (NQF 4) Trade Test: Millwright (NQF 5) Up to 3 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment Technical Competencies Basic computer literacy (MS Office; SAP or ERP systems) Knowledge of maintenance practices, SOPs, and safety standards Understanding of engineering and mechanical systems in a production setting

Job Summary

The ideal person will report to the Line Manager. This person is to conduct both electrical and mechanical inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on engineering equipment in order to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. Department: Manufacturing Factory. Minimum Job Requirements Qualifications: Grade 12 / Matric (NQF Level 4) Trade Test: Millwright (NQF Level 5) Minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical, electrical, and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Basic computer literacy (MS Office, SAP, ERP systems) Strong knowledge of maintenance methodologies, SOPs, and equipment standards Understanding of housekeeping and safety principles Proactive and action-oriented Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Flexible and adaptable under pressure Well-organized with good planning ability Customer-focused and resilient Clear communicator (verbal and written) Key Responsibilities & Performance Indicators: Engineering & Maintenance Control: Diagnose root causes of equipment failure and perform timely repairs. Minimize equipment downtime and reduce damage through swift fault rectification. Apply engineering best practices and ensure all equipment meets operational requirements. Conduct routine and “first-off” inspections on machinery to detect faults or excessive wear. Liaise with production teams to proactively identify and resolve process-related issues. Execute preventative maintenance and coordinate availability of necessary parts. Ensure all manufactured products meet quality standards and compile relevant reports. Compliance: Operate within company procedures to uphold compliance and integrity. Report risks or non-compliance issues to management. Promote adherence to applicable health, safety, and company-specific regulations. Cost Control: Use financial and physical resources effectively and transparently. Monitor and manage costs, report any deviations from budget. Minimize waste and avoid fruitless or irregular expenditure. Customer Service: Foster productive working relationships with colleagues and internal stakeholders. Resolve technical and process issues efficiently and with integrity. Maintain a high level of service delivery aligned with company values. Job Summary

Job Responsibilities: To identify, verify and analyse reasons for downtime through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions to repair the fault in order to ensure timeous resumption of production. To carry out inspections on running machinery and equipment in order to prevent unnecessary downtime. To ensure adherence to all safety rules and regulations by all personnel and contractors on site to ensure a safe working environment. To participate in problem solving workshops and process improvement discussions to support MDW and the drive for continuous improvement. To ensure preventative maintenance is effectively carried out to prevent downtime and support production efficiency. To support drive for continuous improvement by making appropriate recommendation to ensure business sustainability. To ensure effective communication of relevant information to all stakeholders to support decision making for the business. Job Requirements: Grade 12 Certified Artisan (Trade Tested) Millwright 5 years post apprenticeship experience in electrical and mechanical engineering Working in a production environment 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment PLC Fault Diagnosis and SCADA Systems Understanding of Engineering processes and principles (hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics) Stick welding Understanding of OHSACT PC and Network integration
