About the Role

A well-established financial institution is seeking a Commission and Data Reporting Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate collection, reconciliation, and validation of commission and AUA data across internal systems and provider platforms. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accurate collection, reconciliation, and validation of commission and AUA data across internal systems (e.g., Commsplit, Wealth Connect, Seed) and provider platforms.
  • Prepare and distribute standard and ad-hoc reports, with clear summaries or executive overviews to highlight key findings and trends, to internal stakeholders (Advisors, GMS, management).
  • Monitor and maintain CRM client, Commsplit commission and AUA data quality, proactively identifying discrepancies or gaps and initiate corrective actions with financial advisors or data providers.
  • Review data workflows and streamline reporting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare and review process documentation, trackers, and reporting templates to improve reporting transparency and continuity.
  • Take increasing ownership of regular reporting cycles and work towards independently managing reporting deliverables.
  • Collaborate with advisor support, finance, GMS, and compliance teams to ensure alignment of reporting outputs with business and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Senior Certificate (Matric) required
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Financial Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services environment, ideally in an operations, reporting or revenue-related role
  • Previous exposure to or familiarity with business reporting tools or platforms is advantageous
