About the Role

A well-established financial institution is seeking a Commission and Data Reporting Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and experience in reporting and operations. They will be responsible for ensuring accurate data collection, reconciliation, and validation across various systems and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate collection, reconciliation, and validation of commission and AUA data across internal systems (e.g., Commsplit, Wealth Connect, Seed) and provider platforms.
  • Prepare and distribute standard and ad-hoc reports with clear summaries or executive overviews to highlight key findings and trends to internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and maintain CRM client, Commsplit commission and AUA data quality, proactively identifying discrepancies or gaps and initiating corrective actions with financial advisors or data providers.
  • Review data workflows and streamline reporting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare and review process documentation, trackers, and reporting templates to improve reporting transparency and continuity.
  • Take increasing ownership of regular reporting cycles and work towards independently managing reporting deliverables.

Requirements

  • National Education: Senior Certificate (Matric) required
  • Bachelors degree in finance, Financial Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services environment, ideally in an operations, reporting or revenue-related role
  • Previous exposure to or familiarity with business reporting tools or platforms is advantageous
