About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Assistant to join our team in Pretoria. As a key member of our HR department, you will work closely with the HR Manager to ensure smooth, efficient HR and payroll operations across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Administration & Compliance
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, compliant, and audit-ready
- Assist with reporting (Employment Equity, BBBEE, WSP, ATR, etc.)
- Payroll Support
- Capture and process payroll data (hours, allowances, transfers, etc.)
- Maintain accurate payroll records and reports
- Distribute payslips and ensure deadlines are met
- Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting
- Recruitment Coordination
- Schedule interviews and liaise with candidates
- Prepare interview packs and manage recruitment documentation
- Maintain organised recruitment records
- Training & Development
- Coordinate training bookings and logistics
- Track and file training records, invoices, and certificates
- General HR Support
- Act as a professional point of contact for employees and stakeholders
- Assist with queries and provide administrative HR support
- Maintain strong communication across departments
Requirements
- HR Certificate or Degree
- 24 years experience in an HR/Payroll role
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Experience with payroll systems and HR processes
