About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Social Worker Intern to join our team in Pretoria. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community development and social work, working closely with our consultants to deliver high-quality services to communities in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing community programs and projects
- Conduct home visits and assessments to identify community needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders and partners
- Provide support and guidance to community members and groups
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to service delivery decisions
Requirements
- Recent completion of a qualification in Social Work (graduated and qualified)
- No prior work experience required, preferred for fresh graduates
- Valid drivers license (manual transmission essential)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and work in diverse community environments
Qualifications
- Formal education/certification in Social Work (e.g. Bachelor of Social Work)
Salary & Benefits
- Fixed-term contract: 6 months, renewable based on performance and business needs
- Working hours: 25 hours per week (5/8 post)
