Training Officer| Manager (Logistics Driver Trainer) – – R20 000 and R30 000 (CTC) per month About Our Client The company operates within the transport and logistics sector. It utilizes a driver performance and operations environment, incorporating an internal Driver Training Centre to continuous develop driver skills. The Role: Training Officer| Manager (Logistics Driver Trainer) The purpose of this role is to manage and oversee the internal Driver Training Centre, including the leadership and supervision of Driver Trainers. The focus is on ensuring effective delivery of driver training programs, maintaining compliance with TETA and SETA requirements, and facilitating continuous development of driver skills to support operational excellence, safety, and legal compliance. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Driver Training Centre with a minimum of 4 years of experience in training and development. Manage, lead, supervise, and allocate schedules for Driver Trainers while monitoring their performance and compliance. Facilitate and coordinate driver training programs, learnerships, structured training plans, and continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct and oversee driver assessments, guide trainers on moderation, review Portfolios of Evidence, and ensure accreditation standards are met. Ensure compliance with TETA, ETDP SETA, and legislative requirements, and compile and submit Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports. Support recruitment, selection, onboarding, and structured induction programs for drivers to verify competency and safety. Monitor driver performance post-training, support performance improvement plans, and implement corrective training for high-risk drivers. Maintain training records, compile performance reports, manage training budgets, stock, administration, and track KPIs. About You Minimum 4 years experience in training and development. Experience managing trainers or a training team. Proven experience in driver training within transport/logistics and exposure to driver performance and operations environments. Registered Assessor and Moderator. Strong knowledge of TETA/SETA compliance frameworks, training facilitation, assessment, moderation, and training material design. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and training systems and reporting tools. Valid driver license and own transport. Competency in leadership, people management, facilitation, coaching, planning, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving. Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced logistics/workshop environment. National Certificate / Diploma in Occupationally Directed Education, Training & Development (NQF Level 5) is advantageous. National Certificate: Professional Driving is advantageous. Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) registration is advantageous.
