About the Role
We are a leading national furniture removal company, 30 years in business, with a national footprint in all major cities. We service many high-end clients nationwide. We are a non-corporate company but serious about business. We have a mindset of continuously improving workflow and efficiency without red tape.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and preventative maintenance inspections.
- Responsible for receiving, dispatching and overall shipment management.
- Ensure accurate administration of all load movements and storage.
- Supervise warehouse staff and ensure safe stacking procedures.
- Assist, supervise, and manage our furniture removal teams with the following:
- Dismantling and assembling of office desks and workstations.
- Crating and packing of high-value items and artwork.
- Dismantling, assembling, and transportation of grand pianos.
- Assist with minor woodworking repairs to possibly damaged items.
- Supervise, manage, and uphold the work quality of our moving teams
- Manage storage inventories, stock control, and upkeeping of our facilities.
- Liaise with clients.
Requirements
- Good mechanical knowledge and skills.
- Strong carpentry and handyman skills.
- Ability to enforce strict quality control measures, and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to liaise with clients.
- Computer literacy will be an advantage.
- Code 10/ 14 drivers licence (beneficial but not necessary).
- Forklift experience (beneficial but not necessary).
