About the Role
Bridge Personnel Concepts is seeking a highly experienced Safety Officer to join their team in Rustenburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall coordination of mines occupational Health and Safety, supporting the SHEQ Manager, and implementing various safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall coordination of mines occupational Health and Safety in support of SHEQ Manager
- Ensure all legal appointments are up to date and in line with directives
- Conduct PTOs
- Safety inspections and reporting
- Coordinating SHE Meetings
- Risk assessments
- SOP training
- Surveys
- Ensuring safety equipment is maintained
- Ensuring inspections on machinery are done
Requirements
- COSOC 1 & 2 / SAMTRAC / Relevant experience
- At least 5 years of experience in Health and Safety on an open-cast mine
- Beneficiation plant experience, conveyor experience
- Environmental experience
- Blasting experience
- Load and hall experience
- Grade 12 and valid Driver’s license
