About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MEL Manager to join our team in Sandton, South Africa. As a key member of our Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining assessment tools, managing data, and providing strategic insights to inform program decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain assessment, monitoring, and reporting tools for in-field activities, organization development, education, and community impact
  • Develop and maintain a MEL calendar that monitors the deployment of tools throughout the year
  • Review and update the design of existing monitoring tools and reporting templates for accurate and effective tracking of all monitoring/output level data
  • Conduct analysis on output tools as needed
  • Support the analysis and reporting process for select outcome tools
  • Collate all necessary and relevant data for reporting to funders and stakeholders as per the reporting schedule
  • Write narrative reports, inclusive of relevant data and information, for funders and stakeholders
  • Build capacities of and upskill employees to effectively use various tools
  • Undertake an annual review of MEL systems to identify gaps, areas for improvement, and areas of success
  • Manage the alumni tracker
  • Collate and distribute necessary output data for reporting, presentations, marketing, and any other internal/external dissemination of data
  • Manage the setup of tool deployment channels in cost-effective, reliable, and appropriate methods

Requirements

  • Degree in relevant fields (Data, Statistics, Strategy)
