About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sales & Events Manager to join our team at a 5* hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg. As a key member of our sales and events team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic account management, new business development, and collaboration with our marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate maximum revenue potential from Key Accounts, Prospecting Accounts and New Business
- Actively source new business opportunities through cold calling, networking and referrals
- Collaborate with Marketing Team and attend various trade shows, workshops and presentations, representing hotel
- Schedule and conduct sales calls, client meetings, virtual presentations, site inspections and educational visits
- Create awareness of all hotel products by way of virtual presentations to potential clients
- Update and manage client profiles on Infor, SCS and Dineplan
- Generate and tailor quotations to client requirements and upsell packages to include all aspects of the business (functions, restaurants and spa)
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in a sales role
- Minimum 2 years experience in 4 or 5* hotel banqueting
- Hospitality management diploma completed
- Knowledge of Infor/SCS and Dineplan advantageous
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Hospitality management diploma)
