Job Description

Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Reporting Manage and maintain financial records across trading companies, investment entities, and property portfolios. Prepare and update monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure all ledgers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules remain accurate and up to date. Perform daily reporting on selected transactions to identify irregularities or potential fraud. Compile detailed month-end reporting packs for the business owners. Produce one comprehensive monthly report consolidating all entities. Systems & Tools Work daily on Sage across multiple companies. Maintain complex Excel spreadsheets (interest calculations, portfolio tracking, utilities, reconciliations, audit trails). Validate bank-calculated interest to ensure correct rates and accuracy. Capture and consolidate property managers water and electricity meter readings. Tax, Governance & Compliance Prepare and complete tax returns for multiple entities. Assist with VAT, provisional tax, and year-end submissions. Ensure audit-ready financial files and strong internal controls. Support tax consulting activities within the group. Investment & Entity Administration Maintain records across all investment entities, including valuations, distributions, and capital movements. Liaise with banks, wealth managers, property managers, auditors, and tax consultants in a professional manner. Requirements BCom in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 5 years accounting experience. Exceptional proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations, large datasets). Strong working knowledge of Sage. Solid understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards. Ability to work accurately across numerous entities simultaneously. Long-term commitment: ideally 57 years. Competencies & Personal Attributes Highly analytical, accurate, and meticulous. Strong communicator able to engage confidently with high-profile individuals. Calm under pressure and able to handle demanding expectations. High levels of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Resilient, proactive, and consistent in managing multiple deadlines. Job Description

Key Responsibilities: General Full responsibilities for processing of day-to-day transactions and payment processing in smaller companies. Preparation of Journals. Completion of monthly reconciliation. Monthly updating of relevant TB accounts according to IFRS. Identification of risks which could have a financial implication for the company. Performance management systems contracting, development of yourself, communication. Continuous improving way of work. Ensuring adherence to Delegation of authority. Assist in the financial year-end audit. Assist with updating of policies and procedures. Other ad-hoc task as directed. Reporting Timely compilation and capturing of flash, monthly, quarterly, quarterly forecast packs, yearend packs on German SAP system- for various companies. Intercompany confirmation. Preparation of annual financial statements. Assistance with other financial reporting tasks in various companies. Budget and Forecast Review of cost allocations. Preparation of budget and forecast for the smaller companies. Cashflow management Reports to Treasury. Projects Administration and maintenance of relevant projects including budget control. Assisting responsible managers regarding their budgets and actual spend. Provide inputs for month end reporting, tax disclosures, budgets and forecasts. Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy. POST REQUIREMENTS: Degree in BCom in Accounting or equivalent qualification. At least 3 years experience in the financial environment. Fully computer literate (word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4 Hana). Skills and competencies: Strong knowledge of accounting principles Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible, versatile in a changing work environment Good communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently Strategic thinking Innovative and creative Financial management Analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Strong planning and administrative abilities to manage priorities and ensure accurate, timely delivery.
