Job Description

We’re looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and platform operations. You’ll work across AWS and Azure, supporting PHP-based Symfony and Laravel platforms, React/Next.js applications, ElectronJS apps, and emerging API services.

This is a highly technical role, combining hands-on implementation with architectural influence. You’ll ensure platforms are highly available, scalable, secure, performant, and cost-efficient, while shaping infrastructure for new projects from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure
  • Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Docker
  • Support PHP-based production platforms (Symfony & Laravel)
  • Optimise performance, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency of infrastructure
  • Manage Linux server environments, monitoring, logging, and alerting
  • Support database design, backups, migrations, and high-availability
  • Implement and maintain API-driven architectures (REST, authentication, versioning)
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues
  • Implement container orchestration solutions (Kubernetes preferred)
  • Support caching, messaging, or queueing systems (Redis, RabbitMQ, SQS)

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years in DevOps, infrastructure, or cloud engineering
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure provisioning, automation, and management
  • Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes (or managed equivalents)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud deployments
  • Experience supporting PHP-based platforms in production
  • Networking & security fundamentals: VPCs, VPNs, firewalls, IAM, load balancing
  • Experience with high-traffic or globally distributed platforms
  • Solid knowledge of SQL databases, schema design, optimisation, backups, and migrations
  • Linux server administration and operational monitoring
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
