About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at a stunning luxury safari lodge in the Greater Kruger region. As a live-in opportunity, this role is ideal for a hospitality professional passionate about five-star standards and thriving in a dynamic bush environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee housekeeping operations across both lodges to ensure five-star luxury standards
- Manage; train, and supervise housekeeping staff and rostering
- Conduct stock takes and manage housekeeping inventory and supplies
- Oversee ordering of guest amenities and departmental consumables
- Ensure all guest rooms, suites, and public areas are maintained to impeccable standards
- Support guest-facing administration where required, including basic invoicing and admin assistance
- Maintain consistency, cleanliness, and attention to detail throughout both properties
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Housekeeping Manager or senior housekeeping role within a luxury lodge or hotel environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and high service standards
- Strong organisational and stock control abilities
- Hands-on; proactive, and guest-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the department
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)
Salary & Benefits
- R10,000 – R14,000 per month (DOE)
- Live-in accommodation: private studio-style unit with large bedroom and bathroom
- Meals included at the lodge (or kitchenette upgrade option available)
- Flexible work cycles (e.g. 3 weeks on/1 week off, 6 weeks on/2 weeks off, 30 days on/10 days off)
- 21 days annual leave
