About the Role
The Field Service Engineer Internship is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our team as an intern. As an intern, you will be working closely with our field service engineers to provide end-user support, resolve incidents, and ensure compliance to pending rules. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in the IT industry and develop your skills in IT service management.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve logged incidents
- Communicate, dress, and display positive attitude
- Ensure incident is resolved on first contact within SLA
- Preventative maintenance – Identify possible risks
- Deploy, Monitor, Repair, Support & Manage Desktops, Windows Operating Systems, Office Automation Software, Printers, Scanners
- Setup desktops & peripherals & test network connections, install software
Requirements
- Completed a 3-year tertiary qualification in IT (i.e. Diploma in IT; Support Services, Computer Systems, Bsc. in IT)
- Valid drivers license (advantageous)
- Computer literate
- Proficient in the MS Office Suite, Access, e-mail, internet
- No criminal record
- Currently unemployed
- Not participating on another learnership or internship program
- Currently not enrolled with any other tertiary institution
- Currently living in the Northern Cape area (relocation is NOT an option)
- Under the age of 35 as of 31 July 2026
- South African Citizen (African, Coloured and Indian)
