Job Description

LUXURY HOTEL PROPERTY, MAURITIUS SEEKING A PURCHASHING MANAGER (seeking only candidates based in Mauritius with a work visa or citizenship) Responsible for controlling the purchase and supply of all food, beverage, consumables, printing, stationery and operating equipment for the company, developing and maintaining procurement policies and procedures while ensuring maximum value through lowest cost alternatives. Manage the day-to-day operation of all the money operations with an emphasis on daily deposit logs, auditing cash floats, bank verification, etc. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED Able to communicate clearly and efficiently in English (both verbal and written). Appreciation of ethics and values in supply chain management, procurement and positioning. Strong numeracy and time management skills with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Competent working knowledge of MS Office (Excel in particular), Outlook, Opera and Micros packages. A committed team member, willing to cooperate with others. Willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks. A vibrant and responsible approach with a cheerful and service-oriented outlook. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE At least five years practical purchasing experience with sound financial acumen Tertiary degree/ diploma (or similar) desirable. Experience in hospitality operations advantageous. Positive proactive approach, with proven success at managing a team
