About the Role
Join our pre-opening team as a Maintenance Manager at a new luxury safari lodge in Namibia. As a hands-on leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the property’s facilities, guest areas, and infrastructure are maintained to exceptional operational and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all maintenance and repair activities across the lodge
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
- Manage and mentor maintenance staff and external contractors
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Respond quickly to operational and guest-related maintenance issues
- Maintain maintenance records, asset logs, and budgets
- Monitor infrastructure systems to ensure continuous lodge operations
Requirements
- Technical qualification or proven senior maintenance experience
- Previous lodge, hospitality, or remote-property maintenance experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance
- Excellent planning, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
