About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists to join the pre-opening team of a new luxury safari lodge in Namibia. We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Maintenance Manager to ensure the property’s facilities, guest areas, and infrastructure are maintained to exceptional operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all maintenance and repair activities across the lodge
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
  • Manage and mentor maintenance staff and external contractors
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Respond quickly to operational and guest-related maintenance issues
  • Maintain maintenance records, asset logs, and budgets
  • Monitor infrastructure systems to ensure continuous lodge operations

Requirements

  • Technical qualification or proven senior maintenance experience
  • Previous lodge, hospitality, or remote-property maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance
  • Excellent planning, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
