About the Role
De Hoop Lodges PTY LTD is seeking an energetic couple to join our team as Maintenance/Lodge Anchor Couple. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our guest rooms, public areas, and facilities to provide a safe and functional environment for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct general preventative inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and facilities
- Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical, solar, and plumbing systems, as well as water/pool pumps and gas appliances
- Manage minor vehicle repairs to reduce costly downtime
- Present a well-maintained and clean environment for guests
- Meet and greet guests, hosting them in a warm and welcoming manner
- Provide meal and bar service, ensuring high-quality food and beverages are served
- Oversee daily lodge activities, including front-of-house operations and housekeeping
- Assist with stock control and administration tasks
- Ensure the company meets its minimum standards for quality and guest satisfaction
Requirements
- General handyman skills with experience in electrical, solar, and plumbing repairs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift 25kg and stand for long periods
